Our Superstars who had perfect attendance for the second nine weeks, recently had Sports with Dr. Brown as a reward to celebrate!  Congratulations to our Kindergarten - 3rd grade students and our 4th and 5th grade students!  Keep shining bright!

Five of our 5th graders participated and placed in the 4-H county project achievement competition!! Students chose a topic, researched it, and prepared a speech as well as a poster. Students presented their projects in front of judges. We are so proud of them!

NCSS Spelling Bee

The NCSS Spelling Bee is January 24, 2025.  Please join us in sending good luck wishes to our Superstar Spellers!  We know you will Shine Bright! 


A special shout out goes to Aaliyah Siede, Nia Simpson, and Colton Stapp for their outstanding participation in the Heard-Mixon Science Fair!
We would also like to extend a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Aaliyah Siede for winning 1st Place overall in the Life Science Category! Aaliyah will go on to compete in the Newton County Science Fair on Saturday, December 14th.
Congratulations again to all of the participants and good luck Aaliyah at the next level of competition!
