Dear Parents, After careful discussion with the teacher-leaders and administration, we would like to inform you of an important policy change regarding water bottles in the classroom. Beginning January 7, 2025, water bottles will no longer be permitted in classrooms unless they are inside a lunch box and used during lunch time. This decision comes after observing that water bottles have become a distraction during instruction and are causing damage to school supplies and materials. In order to create a more focused learning environment and protect classroom resources, students will no longer be allowed to have water bottles on their desks, near the classroom sink, or in their bookbags. We understand the importance of hydration, and students will still have opportunities to drink water during lunch and designated breaks. We are sharing this information now so that families can make adjustments accordingly, and we can proactively address any concerns before the change takes effect.
