Dear HMES Stakeholders, I am both humbled and excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Heard-Mixon Elementary School. It is a tremendous honor to become a part of the Heard-Mixon family, and I am eager to collaborate with you to support the academic and social growth of our incredible scholars. With 27 years of experience in the field of education, I bring a diverse background that spans from teaching in elementary schools to serving as a college professor. Throughout my career, I have been committed to fostering a nurturing and dynamic learning environment where every student can thrive. My goal at HMES is to build on the solid foundation already in place and ensure that our school continues to trend from good to great. At Heard-Mixon we passionately believe that a strong partnership between school and home is vital for the success of our students. Therefore, your suggestions/ideas that will benefit the academic and social growth of our amazing scholars are welcomed and appreciated.
